Recently, the Mars One non-for-profit organization has declared that they will try to send the first 4 humans to live on Mars in 2024! Since this announcement, thousands of people have applied to be the first humans to live on Mars. Have a look at the video below. These are the 100 people shortlisted from the many thousands of applicants. They come from all over the world and provide their own reasons why they would like to live on Mars.

I definately don’t want to go to Mars. I think that it might be fun for a couple of weeks but then I will eventually want to go home and get bored of being on Mars. If I went to Mars I would miss my family and my pets. I think that the people who get chosen are extremely brave and courageous as they won’t ever be able to come back to earth and see their family in person ever again.

Would you live on mars, I would’nt .The houses there look pretty, but leaving my family and never come back would be scary.The mars one is about people signing up to LEAVE earth.in 2024 people arrive at mars and never ever come back until the die.

living on Mars would be a hard life because, you have to put on the suit on, before you go outside to do any thing.
I feel living on Mars is going to have a hard life because, if you run out of food you have to plant food and wait.
For water you have to find some, not like on earth you just go to a tap and Feach some water.
It is possible but it’s hard.

If I had a chance of going to Mars, I would. The reason why is because I want to explore the world, and see if there is any life on Mars. There are many possibilitys that I will make it or not. But I maybe want to give it a try one day.

Mars in my opinion I think that the 100 people that might be going must want to probably make their country or even earth proud. Though even though it might seem like a small job, it will take years of training to go through and they would probably have to be brave to leave earth for ever and most of them have families that they have to give up. So I think I would be a pretty gutsy job to do.

I wouldn’t mind living on Mars it would be a fun and educational journey. I would like to see and experience all the wonders of the red planet. I would also like to learn how everything works or how it’s possible to live in those conditions. It would be cool to live in a pod but it would be weird to live without my family or friends. In the end it would be fun and I would like to go.

I think mars one is a great idea because it encourages people to have a go even though it is hard.when I think about mars one I think about all the people leaving their families to do a great thing for mankind.

I think that Mars is going to be very hot and they will be very far from their families. I would never go to Mars because it would be very scary and I don’t want to leave my friends and family.

Mars one is a organization for people to live on Mars. Crews of four will depart every two years, starting in 2024. In 2011 Mars One was found, In 2013 they started the crew selection, in 2015 they started to train the crews, in 2018 there will be a demo and Comsat mission, in 2020 they will launch two rovers to Mars, 2022 the cargo missions will be launched, in 2023 the rover will make outposts, in 2024 the first crew will be launched to Mars and will land there in 2025, and in 2026 the second crew will be launched to Mars.

I think living on Mars would be very awesome,and cool. I wouldn’t go because I’ll never see my family ever again. I’m glad to decide to make Mars one because some people always wanted to go to Mars. But it is a sad to never see your family ever again and to never go back to earth. I think the people who are going to live on Mars are very brave.

I would NEVER live on Mars, first of all because I would not be able to see all my family and friends everyday and honestly that would kill me. I would enjoy watching the show but I wouldn’t enjoy being in it, but still I think what those people are doing is putting a big chapter in the history books.

I would be scared. Way to scared to do that. But it would be interesting to explore the amazing features of the red planet. Learning how to live there would be interesting but it would still be scary.

I would like to live on mars but i wouldnt like to live there forever. I would like to come back to earth sometime to see my family and friends but even if they do come with me, I’d still want to come back to live normally, and living in a pod would not be a good decision for me as I am claustrophoabc.

I would not live on Mars because you will miss your family. It is possiable to live on Mars because you can dig for water. It is really hard to live in Mars that’s why I would not go to Mars.
